Two months after purchasing the Tilapia del Sol facility in Costa Rica, Grupo Aqua Corporacion Internacional (ACI) is taking a new approach to seafood production in its growth plan for the next year.
Victor Jimenez, general manager of ACI, a subsidiary of AquaChile, said the company is following a three-model philosphy, focusing on how to implement the best practices of economic, social and environmental operations.
The plan includes overhauling the Tilapia del Sol facility entirely into a nursery, taking advantage of the premier water available and diligent workforce in Costa Rica and Panama.
