Norwegian analysts are seeing the termination of the merger between Marine Harvest Chile and AquaChile as a negative step not only for the two companies but for the whole Chilean salmon industry.
Stein Alexander Aukner, analyst at DnB, was taken aback by the news, which was announced Tuesday morning.
“There’s always a little uncertainty around these type of agreements until they are finalized, but I had imagined it would have gone through,” Aukner told IntraFish.
