Aslak Berge, an analyst at investment firm First Securities, just completed an updated profile on Austevoll Seafood. “In retrospect, the acquisition is as nothing less than a genius,” Berg told IntraFish.
“Leroy recently presented their preliminary results, and it shows solid numbers. The group has managed to profit on a strong salmon market. And Austevoll has also managed to generate significant shareholder value in the period,” he said.
“Since the acquisition last year, the Austevoll share more than tripled. It is a success story.”
