Aug. 30 2002 - WorldCatch Wave - America's seafood consumption patterns are changing. For proof of this look no further than the brand-new list of the nation's Top 10 most popular seafoods, released on Friday by the National Fisheries Institute.

NFI’s Top 10 list, derived from federal government statistics, represents about 89 percent of the seafood consumed in the United States. Figures released earlier this week by the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) showed that shrimp for the first time surpassed tuna as the nation's most popular seafood.
