NFI’s Top 10 list, derived from federal government statistics, represents about 89 percent of the seafood consumed in the United States. Figures released earlier this week by the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) showed that shrimp for the first time surpassed tuna as the nation's most popular seafood.
