One of the largest seafood distributors on the US West Coast is about to get bigger -- a lot bigger -- but first it has to consolidate.
American Fish Chairman and CEO Ernie Doizaki told IntraFish he's currently in talks with "several" companies discussing potential partnerships and or mergers and says some may be completed in the next three months.
"Right now we’re looking at potential horizontal acquisitions, other distributors," he said. "The infrastructure is so costly, and we need a bigger base.
