The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) welcomed news that several Alaska processors intend to resume selling their wild Alaskan salmon as certified to the standard, but said the details of how they will go about doing that is between them and the client for the fishery.
The decision to rejoin the client group, the Alaska Salmon Processors Association, Inc., was prompted in part by projections for another huge harvest of sockeye and pink salmon in the state, and a need to make as many markets available as possible.
