Kjetil Solberg filed his own response this week in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Alaska saying he was owed the money, which he says he used to settle his divorce.
The court-appointed administrator for bankrupt Adak Fisheries LLC is suing the founder and former CEO of the company, saying Solberg received the money in various wire transfers after the company had already become insolvent.
In his July 13 response, Solberg said he didn't think the company was insolvent. "We always hoped the financial situation would turn around," he said.
