Among many other political debates that are currently taking place in Britain at the moment is the long and complicated discussion on whether the United Kingdom would do better if it were out of the clutches of the red tape and never ending flood of regulations that comes as part and parcel of being part of an economically integrated modern Europe.
After 40 years of EEC and then EU membership, it would indeed be a brave step for the country to take, and in doing so become the first country to ever voluntarily give up EU membership, and one the London City ‘suits’ have described as "committing economic suicide."
