After years of listening to the European Union (EU) Fisheries Commission claiming "cod must be saved" -- so much so that the 1990s Commissioner Franz Fischler was accused by fishermen of "seeing the world only through the eyes of a cod" -- we have reached a complete reversal in fortunes.
Despite what some green groups, who refuse to accept the facts and continue to try to hoodwink the general public, the cod stock in the North Sea is in robust health.
