When I wrote a column several months back highlighting the lack of future leaders in the industry, I was met with a tidal wave of correspondence. As a sector that has grown quickly and urgently with a focus on science, food generation and, most recently, sustainability and external image, the seafood sector, it appeared, had left one crucial component to chance: its own workforce.
