When Davidson came across the Freshwater Institute, he found what he describes as his 'dream job'. Davidson and his team are carrying out important R&D into RAS and feed alternatives and managing to cross a barrier many scientists struggle with: communicating scientific findings to the industry and envisioning consumer message.

IntraFish: How did you enter the seafood industry and why? What drew you to it as a career?

John Davidson: I found my way into the aquaculture/seafood industry somewhat inadvertently. While studying biology at Shepherd College in West Virginia, I found out about an internship opportunity at The Conservation Fund’s Freshwater Institute (FI).

For
