In a New Year's interview with IntraFish, Gunnar Domstein, chairman at the Norwegian Seafood Federation (FHL) said 2012 was a quiet one for salmon -- at least in terms of escapees and disease.

“Most notably, low prices, but nonetheless profitability and optimism for the future," he said, summarizing the the year in review.
