Trident Seafoods has suspended operations at its pollock processing plant in Akutan, Alaska, for three weeks to enable comprehensive testing and support a preventative quarantine for its 700 workers there, it said Thursday.
As of Wednesday, there have been 29 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases from the seafood industry in Akutan, Paul Mueller, the CEO of the regional tribal healthcare provider Eastern Aleutian Tribes, told IntraFish.
