A three-year slog to obtain a coveted Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification for the remaining half of the 300,000-metric-ton cape hake fishery of the coast of South Africa and Namibia has now been formalized.

Nomad Foods, which owns the Birdseye, Findus and Iglo brands and has committed to source 100 percent of its fish and seafood from sustainable sources by the end of 2025, welcomed the certification.
