Chilean truckers have ended a seven-day strike that has been impacting supplies of Chilean salmon into major export markets.
Truck drivers in the southern and Valparaiso regions blocking routes into ports and airports suspended the strike early Wednesday afternoon. The strike began at midnight last Thursday.
By early afternoon on Wednesday news was starting to filter out that trucks were planning to end their strike, which has damaged the salmon industry and the wider Chilean economy already suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic.
