Jerome Lafon, a representative of industry trade body FranceAgrimer has left the organization, a FranceAgrimer colleague confirmed.
Lafon is moving to take up the role of assistant to the director of the French government agency that manages the South Indian Ocean, where the French overseas territory Reunion is situated.
Lafon has been one of the government's key liaisons on seafood trade and other general seafood matters.
