Chile’s salmon harvests reached 432,200 metric tons in the first half of the year, a 10 percent increase compared with a year earlier, according to the latest figures from the Undersecretary of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Subpesca).

Atlantic salmon harvests accounted for 80.8 percent of the total, amounting to 342,100 metric tons over the period, a 9 percent increase year on year.

Coho salmon harvests made up 7.9 percent of the total, with 33,200 metric tons, a 7.1 percent increase from the same period a year earlier.
