Carrefour issued the recall of a batch of Marine Harvest organic salmon raised in Ireland and packed at the company’s Kritsen plant in France following a notification from Marine Harvest.
The retailer recently recalled another batch of smoked salmon raised in Scotland and packed at the Kritsen processing plant amid listeria fears.
“As a precautionary principle, and in consultation with the public authorities, Marine Harvest Kritsen Company is now recalling batches of "Smoked Salmon Ireland BIO 120g.” Carrefour said.
The company is asking consumers who have noticed any symptoms of intoxication after eating the product to attend a physician, and those who are in possession of the product not to consume it and instead destroy it or return it to the point of sale.
