Norwegian salmon producer Firda Seafood, owned by Ola Braanas, posted a significant drop in earnings in fiscal year 2017, due to reduced harvest volumes associated with disease.

The company's operating profit declined 33.9 percent year-on-year from NOK 342.2 million (€35.8 million/$41.9 million) in 2016 to NOK 226.2 million (€23.7 million/$27.7 million) last year, corresponding to an operating margin of 27.6 percent.
