Factory fire halts Marine Harvest smoked salmon supply in France

Marine Harvest’s smoked salmon deliveries in France have been put on hold after a fire broke out at its Kritsen processing plant in Landivisiau Wednesday, July 11.

It is too early to know when the company will be able to resume supplies to customers, Margreet Van Harn, marketing and innovation director for Marine Harvest in the Benelux area, told IntraFish.

“We don’t know [when supply will resume], we had to first deal with the most immediate consequences of the fire, and ensure the safety of the workers, who are all thankfully OK,” Van Harn said.
