Andreas Kvame, CEO, told IntraFish Wednesday a major harmful algal bloom was discovered over the weekend at two of its farm locations at Jervis Inlet in British Columbia, and became more severe during the week.

Mass mortalities have stopped at the site, and damaged fish will likely be brought to a rendering company in an ongoing effort, Kvame told IntraFish.

"There are still some but not at the level of the last few days," he said of the damage.

Roughly half of the 500,000 fish remain at the two sites, Kvame said, adding that the company will work on keeping them well.
