Oslo-listed Faroese salmon producer Bakkafrost considers itself “one of the world’s most vertically integrated salmon farming companies.” It controls all aspects of production, from feed down to value-added products.
Bakkafrost was created when brothers Hans and Roland Jacobsen founded it in 1968. The first processing plant for the company was built that year and three years later, brother Martin joined the company.
