South Africa-based fishing giant Oceana Group said its US fish meal and fish oil subsidiary Daybrook has got off to a successful start in its new fishing season.

Business Day reports Oceana CEO Imraan Soomra called Daybrook’s new fishing season "phenomenal", which started in mid-April. He told investors at a recent forum the company had experienced record landings of Gulf menhaden (the species used for fish oil and meal) in the fourth week.
