Building one of the world's largest salmon farms in a bucolic part of Maine is likely to raise a lot of interest from local residents.
"I think the level of engagement has been incredible,"Erik Heim, CEO of Norway-based Nordic Aquafarms, the company behind the project, told IntraFish Thursday. "We're putting a lot of effort into community engagement, but we wish it was more."
Heim, who currently lives in Oslo, Norway, said that is one reason he will move to Maine in October.
