You will be seeing Open Blue brand cobia in more US supermarkets in the coming months.
Bernard Leger, executive vice president of Open Blue Sea Farms, told IntraFish Sprouts supermarkets will start offering Open Blue products in February, and Texas-based HEB Grocery will also soon be offering the company's offshore-farmed cobia.
For Open Blue, 2018 is all about product awareness. It's also about transitioning from being just a wholesaler to a company that offers a value-added experience with cobia.
“We're now becoming a fully value-added processor as well as a source, which is going to change how we go to market,” Leger said.
