Northern France-based Saumon de France is aiming for a 60 percent increase in sales in 2018 to €4 million ($5 million) after the 2017 acquisition of local salmon smoker Le Saumonier de Cherbourg.

Saumon de France, which farms and processes salmon and trout for high end, niche fresh, frozen and smoked markets is in the process of integrating the smoking facilities into its business.

"The objective is to raise the processing and value-added areas of the business," CEO Pascal Goumain told IntraFish.
