Havard Walde has been with Skretting, the Norway-based aquaculture feed giant, for more than 17 years. As he steps into a new role as managing director of the company's global salmon businesses, Walde answers several questions about his plans to tackle some of the key issues facing the industry.
"A feed company is in the middle of the value chain, and we have close connections to both fish farmers and ingredient suppliers," Walde told IntraFish.
"This special position means that we have a particular responsibility for the sustainability of the end product—the salmon."
