Red Lobster seafood procurement executive joins Slade Gorton after 30 years at restaurant giant

A veteran of the largest seafood restaurant chain in the United States has joined Massachusetts-based seafood distributor Slade Gorton.

Joe Zhou, who has spent nearly 30 years in purchasing and procurement for Red Lobster, confirmed with IntraFish he retired from his job as the restaurant chain's vice president of strategic sourcing and supply at the end of 2022 and has since joined Slade Gorton.

Zhou will serve as the company's executive vice president of supply chain.

"We are thrilled to have Joe join the management team at Slade Gorton," Kim Gorton, CEO of Slade Gorton, told IntraFish.
