Mowi, the world's largest salmon farmer, has acquired at least a 75 percent stake in Scottish salmon producer, Wester Ross Fisheries, a spokesperson for the company confirmed to IntraFish.

According to a document posted to the UK's Companies House dated June 30, Mowi Scotland now owns the majority stake in Wester Ross.

The document says Mowi owns at least 75 percent of both the shares and voting rights in the company, situated in the northwest of the country.

Another notice posted on Companies House, also on June 30, said James Robert Gilpin Bradley ceased to be a person with significant control.
