Norwegian salmon prices are retreating from recent highs amid increased availability that is sparking hesitancy among buyers to commit to orders.
"It is quiet and calm with a steady downward trend. Nothing confirmed, but prices should end at a level between NOK 89-93 (€8.58-8.97/$8.93-9.33). It's like selling sand in the Sahara, slow but not impossible," an exporter told IntraFish.
"There is a little more fish every week ahead, and customers just wait before stepping up their pace of orders."
