Norwegian salmon prices have moved higher from levels seen during trading a week ago to reach NOK 80 (€8.30/$9.10) to NOK 87 (€9/$9.90), market watchers told IntraFish.

Last week, sources put prices in a range between NOK 75 (€7.80/$8.60) to NOK 80 (€8.30/$9.10).

This week, however, dynamics have changed. Two producers in northern Norway estimated prices between NOK 86 (€8.90/$9.80) to NOK 88 (€9.10/$10) for each of the sizes from 3 to 6 kg, with one citing reduced salmon and wild-caught fish availability and the Russian invasion of Ukraine for higher numbers.
