Trident Seafoods CEO Joe Bundrant on Tuesday said the acquisition of Pickenpack's The Seafood Traders (TST) plant in Riepe, Germany, is the culmination of long-held ambitions for the company to move into value-adding in the European sector.
"We've dreamed about this for years," Bundrant told IntraFish. "We knew it was not a matter of if but when."
Trident announced Tuesday it made a binding offer for the facility as well as sales entity Pickenpack Vertriebs (PPV), but the deal is not yet finalized.
