Spain’s competition authority, La Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia (CNMC), approved the purchase of Findus by Nomad Foods.

In August, Nomad Foods, parent of Iglo, entered into a binding offer to acquire the Continental European Findus Group Businesses for £500 million (€680.5 million/$774.1 million) with LionGem Sweden 1 AB, a company backed by a group of investors, including Highbridge Principal Strategies, Lion Capital LLP and Sankaty Advisors.

Businesses in Spain, France, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark are included in the business unit.
