Earlier this month, Bumble Bee Foods responded to a lawsuit alleging the tuna company "engaged in deceptive conduct when it sold various seafood products with labels that indicated they were an 'Excellent Source of Omega 3,'" according to court documents.
Plaintiff Joseph McMahon filed the lawsuit in May last year and recently, a federal judge denied Bumble Bee's motion to dismiss the class action lawsuit, pushing the suit forward in court.
In Bumble Bee's response filed Dec. 16, the company denied the majority of McMahon's allegations and made several defensive claims.
