There is plenty of money available to fisheries projects, but there are just not enough investable projects out there, according to top financiers.
Speaking at the event “Financing the Transition to a Sustainable 'Blue' Economy," organized by the Prince of Wales’s International Sustainability Unit (ISU) in central London last week, top bankers told members of the fishing sector investors would be willing to invest if the right projects were presented to them.
“The issue is not the money; there is a lot out there,” Peter Wheeler, executive vice president of The Nature Conservancy, told delegates at the event, attended by IntraFish.
