Smoked salmon processor Seaman Seafood, based in Tonsberg, eastern Norway, suffered a dive of 13 percent in 2012. Operating profit was still in the red, and shareholder equity lost.

At the close of 2012 shareholder equity was minus NOK 0.8 million (€101,917/$135,444), compared to minus NOK 0.5 million (€63,698/$84,652) in the previous year.

"The board of directors will closely monitor the company’s development in the time ahead and initiate supportive measures to reduce costs and improve revenue," said the board in its annual report.

The
