Spanish seafood company Angulas Aguinaga decided to scrap the Brussels seafood show from its plans this year, and is considering events as secondary for the time being, Ignacio Munoz, CEO at the company told IntraFish.

“Indeed, although we have previously been at the Brussels event, we haven’t been there this year,” Munoz said. “Events will be for now secondary in the company’s plans.”

Unlike direct competitors Nueva Pescanova and Krustagroup, who were both present at the Brussels show in their renewed gigantic booths, Angulas Aguinagas was missing, and no new products or developments were announced during or before the show via any other channel.

The decision came as a surprise to exhibitors at the event, which is considered a must for strengthening relationships with customers and building new relationships with possible clients, particularly due to the strategic location the company used to occupy, which has now been released for other...
