Norwegian salmon prices are still at high levels, with the majority above NOK 70 (€7.70/$8.20) per kilo in a hesitant and challenging market, industry players told IntraFish.
There is enough available fresh salmon but trade is slow, with buyers and sellers facing off, and many waiting before making a decision.
“We cannot get what the farmers require, but we see that inflation expectations have fallen significantly during the day and, therefore, we are waiting for a little bit to see what will happen,” one exporter told IntraFish on Friday.
