June was another tough month for sales of plant-based seafood alternatives in US supermarkets.

Sales of frozen plant-based seafood products were $900,000 (€811,715) during the month, a 14.2 drop from June of 2022. Measured on a pounds-sold basis, sales dropped nearly 28 percent.

For comparison, sales of traditional frozen seafood products were $627 million (€565 million) during June, a 5.3 percent drop in value and 3 percent drop in pounds sold compared with last June.
