Shipments of crab from Russia’s Far East to China have now plummeted to almost nothing due to the coronavirus outbreak, according to Russian Association of the Far Eastern Crab Catchers (AFECC), marking a notable shift from last month.

“You can calculate the possible losses yourself,” Alexander Duplyakov, head of AFECC, told IntraFish, adding that Russia’s crab exports to China amounted to around 17 percent of the country’s total allowable catch (TAC) of about 100,000 metric tons.
