Shrimp continues its long-running reign as America's favorite seafood.

In new numbers released Monday by the National Fisheries Institute (NFI), shrimp, salmon and canned tuna continued their dominance, accounting for more than half of the 19 pounds per person of seafood consumed in the United States in 2020, the most recent per capita consumption figures offered by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

The top 10 species account for 77 percent of all per capita seafood consumption.
