There is little doubt the global COVID-19 pandemic has altered the foodservice landscape fundamentally, with innovation, technology, and changing consumer dynamics expected to drive future success.

But since the onset of the global coronavirus pandemic there have been winners and losers, with those able to react nimbly and adapt to the new landscape faring best.

That's according to consultants at Boston-based Bain & Company, which carried out in-depth and wide ranging research commissioned by Sysco, the world's largest foodservice distributor, on how the US and some other foodservice markets have fared during COVID
