As the coronavirus continues its spread throughout the world, the Chinese government has extended its country-wide shutdown, telling businesses in China to cease operations until Feb. 10, which extends the current period by another week.
"The central government has instructed all of China to stay at home. Highways have been blocked. Railways have stopped, airports have stopped. Most of China has stopped. There's no production," Chinese seafood processing, sales and distribution company Meichu Foods President Joe Qiao told IntraFish.
"Most factories have been told to postpone their working day to next Monday."
