EEL farming has begun in Vietnam. Multinational joint venture Tan Do Phat-Vinh Phuc will export its first batch of 65,000 eels late this month.
The company has already received an offer from a Japanese importer to buy raw eels at $7/kg and processed eels at $10/kg.
