A California court has struck down a $1.3 million (€1.2 million) nationwide class action for lawsuit brought in 2016 against California-based grocery Store Trader Joe for allegedly "cheating customers by under filling 5-ounce cans of Trader Joe’s store-brand tuna," according to court documents.

Consumers who filed the class action lawsuit could not account for differences in state consumer laws when applied to their case, wrote Judge Otis D. Wright II on April 1 in a ruling for the US District Court for the Central District of California.
