Smoked salmon sales skyrocketed in the run-up to the festive season at the Scottish shops of UK retailer Asda, it said.
The supermarket chain sells Scotty Brand Smoked Salmon, which is farmed, smoked and packed in the Hebrides and Shetland, Scotland.
It said the product has become a "family favorite this festive season, with record numbers being sold across Asda stores."
Asda has also seen sales of salmon spike across its own brand premium range, with many families buying the Asda Extra Special Smoked Salmon lines.
