Fish and chips may be a staple seafood in the United Kingdom, but the foodservice favorite still needs to be marketed correctly to attract and retain loyal customers. And when it comes to some of UK’s most innovative fish and chips marketers, three companies stand out.

Burton Road Chippy in Lincoln, Lincolnshire; Harbourside Fish & Chips in Plymouth, Devon; and Simpsons Fish & Chips in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, are on the short list to win the prestigious Marketing Innovation Award, as part of the 2016 National Fish & Chip Awards, organised by seafood trade association Seafish

To get to this stage, these shops were evaluated on how they researched and segmented their respective target audiences, how they planned their marketing budgets and managed actual marketing activity, how they developed processes to measure success and gauge the impacts their marketing activity had on their business over the last year.
