Greek seabass and seabream producer Selonda launched a new product into Greek supermarket chain My Market -- a move supported by a radio advertising and point-of-sale campaign.
The ready-to-cook Greek Sea Bream comes in a specially designed modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) tray, the company said, and is available at My Market stores as of Oct. 19.
Longer freshness, better preserved nutritional value and taste are the main benefits of the new packaging, Selonda said in a press release.
In addition, it "fits easily in refrigerator shelves and prevents leakage when transported or stored."
The bream is harvested daily and processed at the company’s state-of-the-art, fully-certified processing plant in the area of Epidavros.
The fish is packed in an automated packaging plant in accordance with strict food safety standards and distributed to stores, it added.
Selonda expects to reach an annual turnover of €160 million ($175.5 million) this year.
