A new promotional campaign offers tourists and locals alike the chance to experience the bounty of Ireland’s seafood from the source to the plate.
In July, Ireland’s seafood marketing agency Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM), in conjunction with Fáilte Ireland, launched “Taste the Atlantic – a Seafood Journey,” a new dedicated seafood tourism trail located along the Wild Atlantic Way, a 1,600 mile coastal route along the Irish west coast.
In coastal communities along this scenic route tourists and consumers alike will find renowned Irish seafood producers such as Connemara Smokehouse and Killary Fjord Shellfish that produce top quality oysters, mussels, salmon lobster and crab.
