The return in July of Crabfest at Red Lobster is not the only menu tweak America’s largest seafood restaurant chain has up its sleeve. The company is also experimenting with battering fish to order for its fish and chips.

“We’re really excited about our new beer-battered fish and chips that we’ll be testing in select restaurants starting at the end of this month,” Dustin Hilinski, executive chef and director of Culinary at Red Lobster, told Seafood International. “This new recipe features wild-caught Alaska cod that we hand batter in-house in our new Samuel Adams beer batter, which gives it great flavor and a light, crispy texture.
